A catalogue for the 2015 New Museum Triennial
A signature initiative of the New Museum, the Triennial is the only recurring international exhibition in New York City devoted to early-career artists from around the world.
Its third iteration in 2015, entitled Surround Audience, explored the effects of an increasingly connected world both on our sense of self and identity as well as on art’s form and larger social role. We were tasked with designing and managing the production of the exhibition catalogue. The book highlights the work of the 50+ exhibition artists, along with several essays and interviews that accompanied the show.
The 288 page catalogue features a 4 flap cover with embossing and 2x spot UV varnish, and swiss binding with taped spine. Its design addressed the themes of Surround Audience, while serving as a rich showcase for the work of emerging artists.
The catalogue won a certificate of typographic excellence in the 2015 TDC Design Competition.
